Grace Wystrach was raised on a commercial Hereford cattle ranch in Elgin, Arizona. She and her husband Michael started their purebred operation in 1980, with the purchase of daughter Audrey's first show heifer. Vicky was the first of many outstanding cows we acquired from The Las Vegas Ranch in Prescott, AZ. A large part of our foundation females came from Harrold Thompson's dispersion sale in the mid 1980s. Several show heifers were added to the herd through the years from Hooper Herefords, J Bar F Hereford Ranches in TX and Glen Klippenstein in MO. Our family showed cattle at The American Junior Hereford Expos in the 80s and 90s and we still exhibit annually at The Arizona National Livestock Show.

Our cowherd has been heavily influenced by L1 genetics. Our cows are primarily horned and carry lots of Holden, Cooper and Pure Gold bloodlines in their pedigrees. We focus on using AI sires that are functional, moderate, deep bodied and that combine the best phenotypes, performance and carcass genetics our industry has to offer. Over the last five years, we've successfully used some top of the line polled bulls and our calf crops are now about 60% horned and 40% polled.

We ranch at 5000 feet elevation, in what is considered the High Sonoran Desert. Our bulls, heifers and cows are accustomed to rocks and rough terrain. Our seed stock have done well when sold to the mountains of Northern Mexico all the way up into the rolling terrain of the Midwest.

We sell yearling and two-year-old bulls, heifer calves and bred cows on a private treaty basis. Please contact us if you'd like to inquire about our program or see what we currently have available.
